Ingredients
  

  • 3 large ripe tomatoes sliced
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • Cutting Board and Knife To slice tomatoes and mozzarella
  • Serving Plate For arranging the salad

Method
 

  1. Slice tomatoes and mozzarella into even rounds.
  2. Arrange tomato slices, mozzarella slices, and basil leaves on a serving plate, alternating them in a pattern.
  3. Drizzle olive oil evenly over the salad.
  4. Drizzle balsamic glaze lightly over the top.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use heirloom tomatoes for even more color and flavor.
  • Make a homemade glaze by reducing balsamic vinegar with a little honey.
  • Best served fresh and at room temperature for fullest flavor.
